The Mosaic i :: Gallery

I took mosaics to an extreme, after being taught the basics by my mother. Over the years I have studied the finest modern and traditional production techniques within mosaic art. I am inspired by the science of color, texture and interaction within each design. I have an acute fascination with the fragments of the world around me and a heartfelt devotion to my art. I find inspiration in everything I see and experience, collecting and composing with materials ranging from recycled bobbles to the finest Italian tesserae, hand made glass, ceramics, gemstones, marbles and more. With my work an intrinsic interaction occurs that requires one to look closely noticing the identity of each detail, like pixels of an image or strokes in a painting. Then, step back to immerse the senses in the intricate entity of each pigment and light trapped within the artistic glass mosaic design.
